Laura Rocklin - Director of Music - Laura received a bachlor's in speech and hearing therapy from Kent State University and spent 32 years as a speech therapist in the Pickaway County and Circileville City schools.  Laura started her church music career as many young musicians do by playing for Sunday School, and progressed to playing the organ for church services at a small Methodist Church at age 15.  She continued to serve in some fashion wherever she was by directing children's choirs, accompanying services and adult choirs, putting on Christmas musicals, etc. at various Methodist, Nazarene, and Lutheran churches in the area, and completed a Master's of Arts in Church Music degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in 2008.  She was serving a dual position as choir director at David Lutheran in Canal Winchester and pianist/music director for David's United Church of Christ in Canal Winchester at the time.  She feels very blessed to have been called to St. Philip's (along with her husband Jim) and given the freedom to explore different styles of music and expand the music ministry here with very talented, dedicated musicians.
